Our 2019 Board Self-Assessment

Congratulations…

The FMC board has taken a critical step in demonstrating our commitment to improving our board’s performance, and ultimately improving our organization’s ability to successfully achieve its mission and vision. Board leadership is essential to FMC’s success. Your participation in the self-assessment process demonstrates a commitment to ensuring the accountable high-level leadership expected by our community, employees, clinical leaders, and other constituents.

A successful board assessment enables our board to identify “governance strengths and gaps,” areas in which the FMC board has the greatest potential for improvement.  Click here for more about board self-assessments.

It’s important to remember that conducting the board assessment is just the first step in improving our governing leadership performance.  The key to success of the full process is not simply the measurement of board viewpoints, but instead the actions we take as a result of careful examination of board viewpoints.  We hope this summary report will be a catalyst to engage board members in a wide-ranging, outcomes-focused discussion that highlights opportunities for board discussion and improvement.
